Today's Adventure

Running from Susanville to Orovolle CA, about half-way down Hwy 70 with Howard ahead of me, I saw what looked like a 5 ft snake wrapped around his axle. It was his final drive belt, a clean break.

We had run about 65 miles, Panhead Mike & I were concerned about gas. Again. So we continued down 70 to call AAA on a land line because we were in the hills, and wound up in Yankee Falls. Oh, my, we were in Deliverance. Very strange people, toothless, a guy with a 9 inch swastica on his belly, just odd.  But we got gas & got back to Howard, then down to Oroville.

And WHAT A RIDE!  Long sweeping turns that we could take at 50-60. It was a workout but what fun.  We got settled in Oroville, just over an hour from Dixon. Tomorrow we'll be there. Tomorrow.
